"Police and politicians insisted the disorder was the work of a criminal minority and not a sign of social tensions or security lapses ..." I wander to what degree this can be true? How wide spread do the riots have to become for authorities to acknowledge the different problems at hand. I'm not saying that I support this type of destructive behavior, but it is very interesting to note how quickly this civil unrest has been downplayed as petty crime. I'm just wandering if this will provoke the rioters more?
So the question is do you think we will make it to the 2013 election, or will the current government dissolve before then?
The last couple of days, I've quite literally wanted to put my head under my pillow and hide away from the world. I can't even begin to imagine how people with all their retirement funds invested in shares are feeling. I met a lady the other day who said in the last crash they lost the value of a house. Scary times!
